Our Trustee Positions

As part of the below positions you will also be a Trustee of the MCASS Registered Charity.

Vice President

The Vice President in the absence of the President is responsible for ensuring that they offer advice and guidance when needed to the committee.

Chair

The Chair is responsible for leadership of the society. Everything, which takes place, is a direct reflection of their ability to lead, delegate and manage. To apply for the Chair position, previous experience on the committee is required. The Chair, assisted by the committee, makes sure that an agenda has been set for committee meetings. The Chair then makes sure that the Secretary has sent the committee notice of the meeting, an agenda and any other supporting documents. decision making when required. The Vice Chair in the absence of the Chair is responsible for

leading Assembly meetings, and ensuring everyone in attendance has an equal say with in the

meeting. They are also responsible for ensuring that the meetings run on time, and that a fair

and balanced debate takes place on all items up for discussion. The Vice Chair, along with the

other committee members is key to decision making and the future of the society.

The Treasurer is partly responsible for the financial management of the society; this

includes control over the handling and recording of cash received, making payments and the

reporting of these transactions. There will also be support from the ICAEW for this role in

terms of preparing management accounts.
